叶永青认为,艺术是与生命相似的痛苦和甘美混合在一起的东西,同时也是证明生活充满问题的一种方式。艺术家既是历史变迁、社会剧情、日常史诗的旁观者也是偶而参与的演员。既是"社会人",亦是"艺术人"。它的旁白和含蓄的批判往往引导着观众的思路,它是不生效的艺术家、语言者和社会行为的批判家。
作者简介
叶永青(1958- )出生于昆明,1982年毕业于四川美术学院绘画系,现任四川美术学院教授。曾在北京、上海、新加坡、英国伦敦、德国慕尼黑、德国奥格斯堡、美国西雅图等地举办个展。参与重要联展:1989年中国现代艺术大展;1991年中国当代艺术文献资料展;1992年“92中国油画艺术展”、广州“首届九十年代艺术双年展”;1993年香港、澳大利亚“后89中国新艺术展”;1994年北京“中国艺评家年度提名展”;1996年德国“中国!”、北京“首届学术邀请展”、“首届上海美术双年展”;2000年北京“20世纪中国油画大展”;2002 年广州“中国艺术三年展”;2003年北京“开放时代”展。作品被中国美术馆等艺术机构收藏。
