内容概要

一、本词典选收中国自1949年至1999年半个世纪汉语中出现并有一定影响的词语，生点放在1978年改革开放以后这一历史阶段；同时选收少量重新复活或具有新义和新用法的旧词语，以及产生较早但原来仅限于特定的地区、行业、社团和政党使用而今天已进入普通话的词语。    二、为帮助读者更好地理解和掌握词语，全部词条都标有拼音和英文解释。    三、所收词词皆出自中国大陆公开出版的书报、杂志，涉及到政治、经济、文化军事、科技等各个方面。    四、条目领头字不以笔画顺序排列，而是按领头字的汉语拼音字母次序排列，同音节的字按阴平、阳平、上声、去声的顺序排列，领头字相同的按第二个字的拼音字母次序排列，第二个字相同的按第三个字的拼音字母顺序排列，以下类推。    五、条目用汉语拼音方案注音，凡词和联系紧密的结构皆连写。    六、不便对译的词语，先直译再解释词义；对具有文化内涵的词语，介绍该词产生的时代背景和使用范围。    七、本词典的主要对象为学习和使用汉语的外国人以及中国的英语教师和翻译工作者。
