前言

　　报纸和杂志属传统印刷媒体，薄薄的纸张承载着政治风云、经济形势、科技发展、社会动态、文化信息、体育竞技等方方面面的信息，将日新月异的动态大千世界展现给读者，是最为方便、经济、实用的信息渠道之一。在我们的日常生活中，报刊几乎随处可得，随身可带，随时可读。　　报刊英语生动活泼地反映了人们的日常生活和现实世界，可以说是一种包罗万象的英语，其中既有时事英语，又有科技英语；既有法律英语，又有财经英语等。在改革开放的今天，这些都是我国英语学习者所迫切需要学习的内容。然而，报刊英语又有它自身的文体特点，加上新闻报道类的阅读材料较少编入我国英语教材，初学者阅读英语报刊时，往往会遇到诸多困难。因此，需要有一部教学指导书，从一般读者的实际情况出发，系统简洁地指导他们尽快提高阅读英语报刊的实际能力。在我看来，《中国英语报刊阅读》最大的特色在于新颖、实用。该教材在选材角度和编排方式上有所创新，所选文章定位正确，所编练习实践性强。从中国内地和香港地区出版的英文报刊上选取的时政要闻更贴近我们的生活，学生更熟悉，所介绍的材料学生更容易接触到。

内容概要

《中国英语报刊阅读》在筛选文章的过程中，既考虑了学习者的需要，又注意反映中国英文报刊的现状。每一章代表一份英文报纸或杂志，并由三个能够代表该报刊主要涉及面的单元主题组成。每一篇文章对疑难点加以较为详尽的英文注释，十分有利于学生拓展学习。与课文配套的翻译练习题，可以帮助学生掌握表达社会相关话题所需的词汇，思考讨论题中的开放式问题，有助于培养学生的独立思考、分析问题和解决问题的能力。 该教材特色鲜明，难易适中。有人担心中国的英文报刊语言不够地道，事实上，中国的各家英文报社和杂志社都有英语国家的资深语言专家把关，对文稿进行润饰、编辑等，确保了我国主流英语报刊的语言质量。

•   我是某天星期五晚上在当当网上订购了一本书，选择的结款方式是货到付款。本来以为会在第二个星期的星期四五收到，没想到星期一下午就接到了当当快递工作人员的电话。当时我还在上课，那位送快递的阿姨就一直耐心等待，真的很感动！
•   从不同领域节选出来的文章，增加了词汇量，扩展了知识面，学到了一些政治，经济等常见用语的地道的英语表达方式。对于英语学习很有帮助，还能提高英语阅读能力。
•   因为是研究生上课的指定教材，内容有一定的难度，但是也发现一些内容都是从报刊以及杂志上摘抄过来的，所以缺乏新意也是在所难免
•   没时间订报纸看，又想提高阅读面还是蛮好的。按照不同报刊性质分章节，层次比较清楚，而且，有不少比较流行的词组。蛮好的。
