　　The establishment of the American labor union was by no means an easy task. The workers were able to succeed only after， much repeated failure. The first unions of workers came during the era of Jack soni an Democracy and were local. In the post Civil War period， at temptswere made to create organizations of workers on an ational basis. The National Labor Union was created in1866 with the goal of establishing the eight-hour day. In1868， Congress passed an eight-hour day law forme chanics and laborers who worked for the USgovemment， but progress elsewhere remained slow. In1872， after turning to national politics， the National Labor Union collapsed. After the Panic of 1873， there was laboragitation， but labor unions were unsuccessful in organizing support and eliminating unrest. In 1878， the Knights of Labor was organized as an ational union of both skilled and unskilled workers. Theirplat form called for the eighthour day， boycotts rather than strikes， a graduated income tax， and consumercooperatives. The Knights forced some concessions fr　　m several railways， but collapsed after a failed general strike for an eight-hour day in Chicago and the Haymarket Massacre of 1886. One of the key weaknesses lay in the effort to bring together all workers， skilled and unskilled，whose wage levels and concerns differed greatly.

•   我是托福新手，有一定英语基础，买书时发现托福的书比雅思的种类少好多。。。之前在朗文前徘徊好久，最后听在美康上英语课的朋友推荐的这套，发现这套书设计得特别好。尤其是一开始有一个diagnostic test，这本阅读后面分主题测试，还有背景知识介绍~但是难度我不知道和真题比怎么样，因为我还没做过真题。。。仅供参考，我还买了一套新东方专题进阶的高级的四本
•   这是托福考试专业考试推荐书。纸张很好，通俗易懂。很喜欢。
•   出版官方指南的公司出版的题集，非常值得看看。
•   书的内容很丰富，很适合考前突击和专项练习~
•   做了下模拟练习， 得分很高， 增强了信心
•   比市场上便宜很多，也很新。
•   整套书是我的母校编写的，感觉还是比较对我的路数吧，适合自学~
•   书的排版很舒服，纸张也很好，不过这样其实有点废纸==但是做起题来还是这样的排版舒服啊
