前言

　　随着二期课改的不断深入，中小学英语的教学理念和实践发生了很大的变化。《英语（牛津上海版）》（试用本）教材作为教育部义务教育课程标准实验教科书之一和上海市二期课改的修订版教材，以其原汁原味的语言、先进科学的编写理念和活泼精美的版式深受广大一线教师和学生的欢迎。　　为了更好地帮助学生用好这套教材，我们组织来自课改第一线的具有丰富牛津英语教学实践经验的教师们编写了这套《世纪·同步精练》丛书。本册书在内容的编排上与《英语（牛津上海版）八年级第二学期》（试用本）教材中各单元的内容一致，共7个单元，同时补充了针对单元知识点的练习以及测试学生的英语综合运用能力的综合性练习。下面就本书有关内容作简要的说明：　　1.目标扫描　　“目标扫描”中主要归纳并列出教材中每个单元主要的语法以及语言要点，旨在让学生对教材中每个单元的语法以及语言要点有总体的了解。　　2.语言点详解　　“语言点详解”是对“目标扫描”中所列语法要点的详细解释，主要包括对教材各单元中重点语法的详细解析，并设置了与语言点详解直接对应的针对性练习——“活学活用”，有选择、填空、句型转换等多种题型。学生们通过完成这部分的练习能有效地检测自己对每个单元知识重点的掌握程度，以便能更有针对性地进行复习。
