　　《中学英语词语辨析与用法》收录词条的原则为：学生常遇到的同义词、近义词、词形相似的词以及按汉语习惯难于理解的词语。　　《中学英语词语辨析与用法》每组词条含三个部分：词语的辨析与比较、经典句、经典题与答案。在“词语的辨析与比较”中，《中学英语词语辨析与用法》力图通过对词语的本义、引申义及其在使用时表现出来的特点加以论述和说明。一词一段，一目了然，便于学生对比和辨析。紧接着是“经典旬”。“经典句”是辨析和用法说明的补充，它将该组词条的基本例句集中在一起列举，并附上译文，方便学生了解词语的运用，并在语境中体会它们的异同。“经典题”是本书的亮点之一，本书在每组词条的“经典句”后提供“经典题”，旨在让学生检查学习效果，学以致用，活学活用。“经典题”设置的题型有“单项选择”、“句子填空”、“翻译填空”、“改错”等，这些题来源于历年中考、高考、模拟考以及各类考试的试题，同时给出答案，方便学生自测。在此需要说明的是，各试题的考点力求在该词条的范围内设置，答案也就在这些范围里，超出该范围的答案可忽略不计。
