　　Cyber Crime　　Nowadays cyber criminals seem to be everywhere. Numerous kinds of them can be committed with a few checks, fromfraud to lifting intellectual property and to subverting deals, from snatching passwords to disrupting E-commerce and tounleashing viruses to crash computers. These hackers （黑客） do a great damage to companies and computer users, causingcomputer losses up to 10 billion dollars a year.　　Naturally, there are many causes for the cyber crimes. In addition to the wicked nature of the hackers, the frailties ofIntemet are partially responsible for the crimes. Just because there are holes in Internet the complex software is buggyand often infested, the cyber criminals can find out the weakness in the Website software programs and by manipulatingsoftware defects, gaining access to Website, committing all kinds of crimes.　　However. we shouldn t tolerate these cyber criminals any more. And it s high time for us to take all the effectivesteps to battle the cyber crooks. First, we should use cyber laws to protect the Web, the powerful engine of economy. Be-sides, we should improve intrusion detection, encryption （加密） and computer security system with the help of high tech-nology. Finally, we should win more talented people to build up more firewalls （防火墙） so as to make the Net immune toviruses and inaccessible to cyber criminals.　　Harmfulness of Fake Commodities　　Fake commodities can be seen everywhere, ranging from food to medicine. They are, so widespread as to be disastrousto our society. There are many reasons for this social phenomenon, but in general, it comes down to three major ones.　　For one thing, producers can profit a lot by making fake commodities because the cost of producing fake commoditiesis much lower. For another, salesmen and stores, can also profit a lot by selling fake commodities. Perhaps the prime rea-son is that our legal system is not yet powerful enough and the punishment of illegal producers and businessmen is yet to beenforced and made severe.　　They do a lot of harm to people. They often cheat money out of customers because the commodities are not worth themoney spent. To make things worse, the damage clone by fake commodities often goes far beyond that. For example, farm-ers are reported to have worked hard for a year without harvesting anything owing to false seeds. Some people are even kill-ed by false wine, poisonous food or fake medicines. Besides, they also damage the name of those fair businessmen andmanufacturers who supposedly have made them and thus. the normal economic order greatlly disturbed.
