　　Dolphin Island is a small country that lies about1500 kilometres off the coast of Japan， in the middle ofthe Pacific Ocean. From the beaches in the north， tothe rocks on the coast in the south， the island is lessthan a hundred kilometers long， and from the west coastto the east coast the island is nowhere more than 80 kilometres wide. Winfield， the capital city， lies on thesouth-western coast.　　The highest mountain on Dolphin Island， MountAshton in the west， is a dead volcano. It is part of arange of mountains， running from north to south alongthe western coast. Dolphin Island has a mild sea climate. Most of the land can be used as farmland.　　Dolphin Island has only four cities: The town ofAshton Creek lies in the north， Winfield in the southwest， Turnpike in the centre and Epsom on the easterncoast， about forty kilometers from Ashton. Dolphin Island is popular with tourists both from East Asia and theUnited States.　　……
