作者简介

查尔斯·狄更斯于一八一二年二月七日出生于英国朴资茅斯的波特西地区。他父亲约翰·狄更斯是海军会计处的一个小职员。狄更斯幼时就常常溜到家里的阁楼上，津津有味地阅读一本又一本的小说。《鲁滨逊漂流记》、斐尔丁的作品、《天方夜谭》、《堂吉诃德》，都是他喜爱的作品。
