作者简介

克雷洛夫(1769－1844年)，俄国最杰出的寓言作家。生丁莫斯科一个清贫的军医家庭，16岁开始文学创作。写过诗、喜剧、讽刺性散文，当过进步刊物的编辑，晚年开始写寓言。克雷洛夫一生共创作了205篇寓言，这些寓言已被译成五六十种语言，在全世界广为流传，受到世界人民的喜爱。克雷洛夫寓言既反映了俄罗斯人民的欢乐与疾苦、道德观念与人生智慧，同时在寓言艺术上也创造了一种独特的俄罗斯风格。普希金称他是当时“最富有人民性的诗人”、“最民族的和最通俗的”现实主义的文学家。

　　黄雀和刺猬　　Bullfinch and Hedgehog　　黄雀很怕羞，一天早晨，它放声大唱。这时太阳升了起来，夜莺开始合唱，黄雀不唱了。刺猬讥笑没有听到它的歌声。黄雀绝望地说自己没有美妙的歌喉，不敢歌唱太阳。是啊，我没有品达（古代 著名吟游诗人）的才华，怎么敢赞美亚历山大的诗篇呢！　　bullfinch， shy and fond of solitude， chirps to himself one morn， in merry mood； No thought of listeners， nor even of anything： he simply feels inclined to sing！ Just then， in pride and majesty， the radiant Phoebus from the sea the horizon scales； He seems to bring with him new life for each and all.
