版权页：   The Cypress Hall was put up by a monk named Zhiquan in the Song Dynasty. Records have it that in the Song Dynasty there used to be two old cypress trees growing here. But later they withered away. Therefore, the monk had a building set up here and named it Cypress Hall. The two buildings now both house some of the works of famous seal engravers and calligraphers. Now, please look to the right. This is the Stele Corridor. Along the corridor inlaid in the wall are scores of fine steles collected by the society members over the years. Here you can see several different styles of calligraphy. Chinese calligraphy has a long history of development, in which seven different chirographies appeared. They are oracles (inscriptions on bone or tortoise shells) , bronze inscription, seal script, official script, running script, regular script, and cursive script. The second section starts from this stone gateway. Inscribed on the lintel of the gateway is the name of the society. This path leads to the precious seal chamber, where you can find a wonderful collection of seals. Many a foreign visitor likes to buy his or her own seal or chop engraved with an appropriate Chinese name.
