　　本书以生成语法为理论框架研究自然语言中的关系结构。作者提出了一种新的分析方法—RelP分析，并用之于解释不同语言、不同类型关系结构的生成过程及其语义诠释。实践证明，该分析能够比以往研究更好地预测并解释不同形式关系结构的句法及语义差异。
