《美英报刊文章选读》(上、下册)首版于1987年,是迄今在全国所有英语报刊文选课本中惟一曾经教育部高校外语专业教材编审委员会英语编审小组批准的正式教材,并获得过北京大学科研成果奖。2006年8月,它与《美英报刊导读》和《美英报刊文章阅读》(精选本)一起被列为“普通高等教育‘十一五’国家级规划教材”,故它为全国许多高校所采用,并受到广大英语自修者的欢迎。 现在出版的《美英报刊文章选读》(上、下册)第四版,与前三版一样,是供大专院校英语和新闻专业及其他涉外专业三年级以上学生使用的教材,也可供具有相应程度的从事外事、新闻、国际问题研究、报刊翻译等工作者及英语爱好者自修之用。 《美英报刊导读》第二版与报刊文选相辅相成。《导读》是教科书,又是文选的导读,其有的章节又以文选课文作阅读理解习题。授文选课的教师觉得有的课文语言点和知识点不多时,也可将《导读》作补充指导,这就大大丰富了教学内容。 《美英报刊文章选读》(上、下册)和《美英报刊文章阅读》(精选本)分别为不同英文水平的高年级学生而编写。《上、下册》课文多,题材更为多样广泛,学生和授课老师对课文有更多的选择余地;《精选本》对课文的注释更为详细,并配有《学习辅导》,学生更易读懂。这两套书的部分课文相同,自修和初次教授《上、下册》者可将《精选本》的《学习辅导》用作参考。2009年10月出版的《大学英语报刊文选》为非英语专业用书。
内容概要
《美英报刊导读》(第二版)是周学艺先生进入古稀之年对第一版进行彻底重编的一本力作。作者在第二版里尽量将文化背景知识与语言知识相结合,在理论上和系统性上都大大提高一步,对读者在阅读报刊文章时具有启发性和指导性。全书增加了许多新内容,并力图将报刊语言表达法的主要特点与语言的变化和发展规律加以总结,使它成为一本既是报刊阅读的入门书,又是报刊语言研究的一本重要参考书。 《导读》与《报刊文选》两者相得益彰。《导读》,是教科书,又是《文选》的导读。《导读》中有的章节以一些文选课文作阅读理解习题,授《文选》课的教师若认为有的课文语言点和知识点不多时,可将《导读》作补充,这就大大丰富了教学内容。 该书作者长期从事报刊英语研究,是此领域的专家。他主编了一套完整的、与时俱进的报刊系列教材和参考书,并列入“普通高等教育‘十一五’国家级规划教材”。应有志于此业者的要求,他在《导读》中还特地增加了“编书经验教训谈”一节。相信此节定会对有志于此业的青年教师有很大帮助。 《导读》适合大学英语,新闻和涉外专业的高年级学生、研究生作为教材,也适于青年教师及对英文报刊有兴趣者自修之用。
作者简介
周学艺,男,江苏丹阳人,1935年生。
1958年考入北京大学西方语言文学系,攻读英国语言文学。1963年毕业后从事国际问题研究和英语教学工作,曾任北京大学英语系副教授,并在北大、清华等院校讲授过美英报刊文章选读等课程。1981-1983年在美国佛罗里达州立大学从事英
