内容概要

　　《英美文学欣赏》共由22个单元组成。英国文学和美国文学各11个单元。英国文学包括五位散文家和六位小说家的经典名著。本书收入了散文家如培根、约翰逊博士、王尔德、罗素、福斯特等的名篇。涉及的小说篇目有《傲慢与偏见》、《简·爱》、《双城记》、《人性枷锁》、《儿子与情人》、《一个青年艺术家的肖像》等。另外，还有莎士比亚的《罗密欧与朱丽叶》“阳台相会”节选和一首十四行诗以及彭斯、华兹华斯、雪莱和丁尼生的著名短诗。　　美国文学中共选人三位散文家和七位小说家的不朽名篇。主要有富兰克林的自传、爱默森和梭罗的散文名篇，马克·吐温的小说《哈克贝利·芬历险记》和《汤姆·索亚历险记》、詹姆斯的《女士画像》、欧·亨利的短篇小说《麦琪的礼物》和《警察与赞美诗》以及福克纳的著名短篇《献给爱米丽小姐的玫瑰花》。其他名家的长篇小说节选有《了不起的盖茨比》、《麦田里的守望者》和海明威的《老人与海》等。另外还有《生命礼赞》、《未选之路》等既有哲理又优美可诵的短诗。

　　作品简介　　《罗密欧与朱丽叶》是一部感人至深、催人泪下的爱情悲剧。　　在名城维洛那，有两家门第相当的名门望族——蒙太古家族（Montague）和凯普莱特家族（Capulet），累世的宿怨使两家势不两立，经常刀剑相向，发生流血冲突。两个家族中的一对青年罗密欧与朱丽叶却相爱了，好心的神父为他们举行了秘密婚礼。可是，在一场争斗中，罗密欧却失手杀了凯普莱特家族中的人，遭到放逐。朱丽叶的父母执意让她嫁给另一个贵族青年。神父设妙计让朱丽叶喝下一种药液，可以佯死42个小时，待家人将其下葬，再让罗密欧赶来相见，两人一同逃走。不幸的是，罗密欧没有得到这一真实情况。他赶到墓穴，以为朱丽叶真的死去，便服毒自杀。朱丽叶醒来，看见罗密欧的尸体，遂用匕首结束了自己的生命。两个在家族世仇下惨遭牺牲的年轻人以悲壮的殉情，终于使两家化干戈为玉帛。　　正是：“古往今来多少离合悲欢，谁曾见这样的哀怨辛酸。”　　……

•   还不错，纸张，内容都可以。里面分了英国美国。按人介绍的，然后是人物的作品。节选。对于古英语难点都有注释。对于刚接触文学的人来说是很好的导读。难度适中。里面既有英语也有中文，对于我以前是学商务英语的现在学这个也并不晦涩难懂。

•   不得不说这次移仓移太久了，还好一到武汉就差不多发货了，总的来说还不错，纸质很好，只是有一本被压皱了，性价比很高。。。
