本书是作者以给英语语言文学专业硕士研究生讲授韩礼德的《功能语法导论》过程中根据中国学生的特点编写的一本教材。该教材是北京市重点建设学科项目的子项目。它有以下特点：    ·全部采用英语写作；    ·采用“实践-理论-实践”的方法讲述理论知识，使枯燥的语法理论清晰、明了、易懂；    ·例文大多选自名著、幽默故事集等；    ·每章后面都附有练习，书末附有术语和人名英汉对照索引；    ·有些章节不仅局限于韩礼德一人之学说，还涉及了其他研究者和作者对一些问题的看法。    该书不仅可用作高英语语言文学专业研究生功能语法课程教材或辅助教材，而且还可供广大英语教师、英语专业高阶学习者参考使用。

作者简介

李美霞，文学博士，北京第二外国语学院英语系副教授、硕士生导师，全国语言与符号学学会常务理事，中国高校功能语言学研究会会员。主要研究兴趣为语篇学、功能语言学、认知语言学和符号学。在外语类核心期刊及较著名期刊上发表学术论文30余篇，出版专著一部，合作编写、注释著作两部。主持省部级科研项目一项，参与国家社科基金科研项目一项，承担其它科研项目四项。
