作者简介
Professor Guo Chang-Qing serves as a Chief Physician and supervisor of doctoral students at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. He is also chief professor at the Teaching Department of the School of Acupuncture and Moxibustion. Professor Guo is the national executive director and deputy secretary-general of the literature department of the professional Acupuncture-Moxibustion Committee and the Acupotomology branch at the China Association of Acupuncture-Moxibustion. He is also the commissioner of Beijing Professional Committee for Modem Research of Acupuncture-Moxibustion. He has been a guess scholar in Spain, Korea, Poland and Singapore.Professor Guo has engaged in research on modern clinical significance of the classical text of acupuncture and moxibustion. He has published over 20 different research articles and edited 22 professional books among which are the following: "Modern Research and Clinical Practice of Acupuncture", "Practical Acupuncture Points" and "Illustration of Acupuncture Points ".Hu Bo is a Chinese medical practitioner in the acupuncture-moxibustion department, and mainly focuses on modern research of the theory of acupuncture at Beijing University of CM. Dr. Hu also specializes in acupuncture treatment for esthetics. He has acted as chief editor on two books and was co-author of six CM books.Dr. Liu Nai-gang graduated from Beijing University of CM in 2011 and works as a Chinese medical practitioner in the acupuncture and moxibustion department of the China-Japan Friendship Hospital. He mainly focuses on conducting research on the theory and clinical application of acupuncture. Dr. Liu has published 12 professional books and 21 research papers in the field of acupuncture.Tuvia Scott is the Academic Director of the TCM department at the Campus Broshim School of Complementary Medicine at the Tel Aviv University in Israel. He has been teaching and practicing Chinese Medicine since 1990 and is member of the Israeli Association of Traditional Chinese Meticine. Tuvia Scott has completed his studies at Medicine School of TCM in Israel and continues professional training at the Beijing Guang An Men Hospital, Zhejiang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Guangdong Second Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital where he also brings his students for continuing education.

Insert the needle perpendicularly 1.5-2.5 curt deep with the "Adjacent Puncture", "Triple Puncture" or "Qintuple Puncture" techniques and stimulate until there is a sore and numbing sensation in the local area radiating to the lateral side of the thigh.2. Insert the needle obliquely upward 2.0-3.0 curt deep and stimulate until there is a sensation spreading in the hip.Note on Needling Method."i. The "Adjacent Puncture" technique is one of the Twelve Needling techniques for bi syndrome. This technique is to insert one needle perpendicularly on the main point and insert another needle obliquely to the same point.ii. The "Triple Puncture" technique is one of the Twelve Needling techniques for treating a relatively small and deep area caused by cold bi. This technique is to deeply insert the needle in the main point as the center point and add two needles on both sides.
